About Us

Patrick Anderson and Terry Lundmark opened the Vineyard Wine Shop in October 2003 at its original Greenwood location. In 2015 the shop moved to Firdale Village, Edmonds. As a brick and mortar shop, we aim to serve Northwest Seattle, Shoreline, Richmond Beach, Edmonds and Lynnwood. Patrick has been involved with wine since the late 1970's. Growing up in a traditional Catholic family, wine was always on the table and part of the dinner meal, and while attending college in New York City, Patrick worked for a private collector, and that perked his interest even more. Once in Seattle a brief stint at the “old” Esquin wine shop, located underground on 1st Ave. for one year in 1983 allowed Patrick to continue pursuing his interest in wine. He has since been an avid and serious collector of Old World wines. After some 20 years in construction and trades, Patrick, along with his wife Terry, decided to try the retail business and provide the neighborhood in which they live with fine wines.

As of November 2015 the Vineyard Wine Shop will be moving north to Shoreline/Edmonds, still serving North Seattle and the North End. Our emphasis will continue to focus on Old World wines from the classical wine regions of France, Italy, Spain and Germany.

Our interest in building the Vineyard Wine Shop was not to serve the wine and beverage industry or to find a way to make the most money in the trade, but rather, to have a shop that first and foremost represented the great terroirs of the Old World: a shop that was not driven by Wine Spectator or Robert Parker scores, or scores of any kind. It was and continues to be our belief that numbers have no flavors or qualities themselves, and what we try to provide our customers with is a deep selection of wines we have tasted and believe are solid representations of their place
of origin.
